About Katherine Clair
One act play All’s Fair won the 2005 Young Dramatist Project and was produced at the Gorilla Theatre in Tampa, Florida. Published between the years of 2008 and 2010 in the areas of literary criticism, poetry, fiction, and screenwriting in the literary journal thread. Short film Deer Doctor, written by Katherine Clair, was screened at the Cannes Film Festival’s Short Film Corner in 2009. Short plays Manna From Heaven and The Pedestal Play have been produced as part of short play cabarets at the Catholic University of America in the fall of 2010 and the spring of 2011. Blinky’s Jubilee, a full length play, was read as part of the Kennedy Center’s Page-to-Stage Festival 2011; her play Love Birds was read at the 2012 Festival; her play Roll on 3 was read at the 2014 Festival. Full length play #crazypants was produced at the Catholic University of America in November of 2012 as part of the 2012-2013 main-stage season. Featured playwright with Blind Pug Arts Collective during their Shakespeare in Brookland Adaptations Project. Contributing deviser, performer, and playwright for Theater Alliance's ensemble devised play I LOVE DC. Full-length play Vivie Can Fly was developed in Theater Alliance's Season12 Hothouse in February 2015. First Citizen, a co-written contemporary response to Coriolanus, was presented as a workshop reading as part of Taffety Punk's Generator series and WSC Avant Bard's Scripts in Play series in the spring of 2016. Vivie Can Fly was further developed with The Actors' Center in the spring of 2016. Short Play See Cerberus Run presented as part of Rorschach Theatre's annual Klecksography. Currently serves as the Literary Director at Theater Alliance, a DC-area company committed to socially conscious work, and also serves as the producer of the Hothouse New Play Development Series, a series that focuses on facilitating the work of new playwrights. |
